Green Schools

Ballinamore Post-Primary Schools has a Green Schools programme working very effectively and efficiently. The school has in May 2011 received its second green flag for Energy Conservation. This is after being successful in receiving its first green flag for Waste and Litter recycling.  Committees are made up of students across the five year groups and meetings are held on a regular basis to monitor and evaluate progress.  Ms. Cooney, Mr. Mullen, Ms. Colum and Ms. Fahy co-ordinate the Green Schools Committee which works with members of Ballinamore community in raising awareness of litter, waste and energy.
